Ramadan 29, 1443h, April 30, 2020

The crescent moon to commence the month of Shawwal was NOT sighted in Haramain (Makkah and Madina). Further to this, the moon is not sighted anywhere in the eastern corridor of the United States therefore as per HCC policy it has been decided unanimously that we will complete 30 days of Ramadhan In Sha Allah. Accordingly, Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated on Monday May 2, 2022 (1st of Shawwal 1443h).

Royal Court: Supreme Court: Tomorrow, Sunday, the completion of Ramadan; Monday, the first day of Eid Al-Fitr

Jeddah, April 30, 2022, SPA -- The Royal Court issued a statement today that the Crescent Department of the Supreme Court decided that tomorrow, Sunday 30/9/1443 AH - according to Umm Al-Qura calendar - corresponding to 1/5/2022 AD, is the completion of the 30th of the holy month of Ramadan for this year 1443 AH, and that Monday 1/10/1443 AH - according to Umm Al-Qura calendar corresponding to 2/5/2022AD is the first day of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr for this year 1443 AH.
On this occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, the Supreme Court congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HRH Crown Prince, all citizens, residents, and Muslims, praying to Allah Almighty to accept from Muslims their fasting, night prayers and all good deeds, and to preserve the Kingdom's security, stability and prosperity.

We are very pleased to announce that another organization, Islamic Center of Old Bridge (ICOB) has joined Muslim Center of Middlesex County (MCMC), Muslim Community of New Jersey (MCNJ), Masjid Al-Wali, and Islamic Center of East Brunswick (ICEB) in the ‘Hijri Calendar Committee’. The ‘Hijri Calendar Committee’ will declare the start of the Islamic (Hijri) months based on the agreed upon policy. We pray that Allah Subhanhu wata’la continue to put barakah in this beautiful effort of uniting Muslims living in our communities in the celebration of our blessed occasions and festivals.

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

With the infinite blessings and mercy of Allah Subhanahu wata'la, we are pleased to announce about an unprecedented show of unity and cooperation between the four local Islamic Centers. In a time, when disagreements and refutations thrive and indulge people, any sign and gesture of unity is a time to celebrate.

Muslim Center of Middlesex County (MCMC), Muslim Community of New Jersey (MCNJ), Masjid Al-Wali, and Islamic Center of East Brunswick (ICEB) have agreed on a unified policy for declaring the start of the Islamic (Hijri) months. 

We have formed a committee, ‘Hijri Calendar Committee’ which will be responsible for making these decisions. 

We pray that Allah Subhanhu wata’la put barakah this beautiful effort of unifying Muslims living in the Central Jersey and surrounding areas in the celebration of these blessed occasions and festivals.
